In the past, when works were read, notes would be taken in the margins. Instead of "Sual" (Question), the letter "Lam," the last letter of the word "Sual," would be placed, and instead of "Cevap" (Answer), the letter "Cim," the first letter of the word "Cevap," would be used. If neither "Lam nor Cim" appeared in the text, it was understood to be perfectly clear, comprehensible, and indisputable. The expression "Lamı Cimi Yok" (It is clear/There is no ifs or buts about it) has reached us in this way. We have compiled and organized the questions and answers in this distinguished work for you and named it "AKAIDIN LAMI CIMI," meaning "Its Questions and Answers." We aimed for all students to learn their articles of faith with pleasure and to achieve superior success in their theology exams. Our hope is to attain the prayers, first and foremost, of Allah (SWT) and His Messenger (PBUH), and of our master Mahmut Efendi, who encouraged us on this path.
