Certain parts of my life are included here because I have forgotten some sections, and others were personal to me. The rest are more in the form of a historical chronology. I have tried to recount the events in my life in a sincere and truthful manner. While writing these memoirs, I did not have much understanding of this literary genre. However, while reading the famous work of Churchill, I realized that the author wrote by relating political and military developments in history to his own experiences. For this reason, I realized that memoirs are always subjective. This is not a history; history should be written by those who lived it. The text of the book consists of letters, excerpts, speeches, and interviews from that period. I felt the need to present some of them entirely or extensively because these are my immediate reactions to the events I experienced. Thus, I avoided making myself appear smarter than I am. In short, what follows are my own truths regarding a difficult period.
