In every phase of this study, we benefited from reputable exegesis (tafsir) books. We took care not to express any subtle point that we did not find in these sources, even within parentheses. In matters of belief (aqidah), we were careful to present the views of the Ahl as-Sunnah, and regarding the priority among these opinions, we were meticulous in choosing the view we found more transcendent in the same context. Brief explanations for certain verses that are difficult to understand or prone to misinterpretation were compiled from the original texts of tafsir books and included in the footnotes, with all sources cited. We attempted to provide brief summaries of certain terminological meanings by benefiting from both tafsirs and scholarly works. Likewise, brief explanations for abridging (nasikh) and abrogated (mansukh) verses, as well as some verses related to jurisprudence and transactions, were quoted from the sources as needed. When explaining words, we tried to convey the meanings they carry within the text rather than just their abstract meanings.
This study, which lasted nearly ten years under the supervision of the Scientific Research Center within our publishing house, was carried out by a committee of ten people who graduated from various Theology Faculties and Eastern madrasas in Turkey, as well as universities and madrasas providing religious education abroad, such as Al-Azhar University.
Adopting a consultative approach, this final text, prepared as a committee, was edited over the course of nearly a year with the serious examination and contribution of a large group of men and women from very different professions and specialties, including theology, literature, history, psychology, pedagogy, education, engineering, technical education, medicine, economics, law, political science, and fine arts, benefiting from their perspectives.
