There may be a thousand and one ways to say “the emperor has no clothes,” but I am not sure if there is a way to express the events experienced by the Anatolian people in all their nakedness. No one has expressed, or could express, these truths in all their nakedness. Along with the reality in question, it must also be admitted that, within the current state of affairs we breathe, expressing many truths “without beating around the bush” does not appear reasonable or possible—unless we confuse intellectualism with militancy. However, because I know no other way to breach the ramparts and break through the mental/physical siege woven around our people than to make important issues a matter of discussion, I am of the opinion that our problems can only be noticed first, and then solved, by keeping essential topics on the agenda and discussing them repeatedly, almost to the point of tedium. This work is the product of that same line of thought.
