In this situation, there was nothing to be done. They sent us to Oran by plane. The relevant Department Chair said, “Professor, we have two vacant courses suitable for you: one is Hadith, and the other is Sciences of the Qur’an; you can teach whichever you prefer.” I said, “My field is Islamic Law.” He replied, “The Islamic Law course begins in the second year.” Upon this, I chose the “Sciences of the Qur’an” course.

Thus, the Arabic text of this work was formed from the lectures I gave to the first-year students of the aforementioned department during the 1985-1986 academic year, in accordance with the curriculum.
