Learning about the life of Imam-i Azam increases one's love and devotion to Islam. Reading his works strengthens knowledge of faith and creed, and a person who lives a life full of righteous deeds earns eternal reward. It is a duty for religious and knowledgeable individuals to show love and respect for the saints of Allah. Increasing our love and friendship for Imam Abu Hanifa, who is accepted as one of the most prominent among the saints, religious imams, and mujtahids, is an important task for all of us. The Superiority of Imam Abu Hanifa: Imam Shafi emphasized Imam Abu Hanifa's superiority in jurisprudence with these words: "In the field of jurisprudence, the works and ijtihads of the Imam of the Muslims, Abu Hanifa, have illuminated cities and people. There is no scholar like him in the East, the West, or Kufa. He shed light on the world by spreading the jurisprudence of Islam and the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah and the Caliphs. Therefore, may Allah curse those who deny the words of Abu Hanifa as many times as the number of grains of sand." A Correct Understanding of Imam-i Azam: While conveying the distinguished anecdotes of Imam-i Azam, this book reveals his authority in the science of hadith and the Arabic language with strong evidence and in a summary manner. Necessary responses have also been provided to the unfair criticisms directed at Imam-i Azam. The truth is that even attempting to defend Imam-i Azam is unnecessary; for he has no need of defense. An example showing Imam-i Azam's conduct befitting propriety is his response when asked, "Who is superior, Alkama or Aswad?": "We are not even worthy of speaking their names, how could we ever compare them?" However, writings have been penned on this subject for the purpose of clearing up some doubts, eliminating hesitations, and explaining the matter to those who do not understand.
