"Gülşen-i Mülûk-Hükümdarlar Bahçesi" (Garden of Sovereigns) is known as the sixth work in the siyasetnâme (advice for rulers) series by Büyüyenay Publishing and is a classic 16th-century text. This work offers counsel to the rulers of the era and demonstrates the paths to be followed in carrying out tasks and serving the people. However, these precepts address today's leaders in an equally significant and relevant manner. In our time, it seems that managers at every level are in greater need of the principles expressed in this work. Contemporary administrations generally limit politics to the realization of material services and the provision of technical equipment. Yet, all practices of politics can transform into a virtue and a value by maturing in the high values of morality. For this reason, it is essential that leaders act with extreme sensitivity and a perpetually serene consciousness, and persist in this ideal. The most important idea that should lie at the foundation of politics emphasizes that the motive force directing all actions is to prevent evil and to spread truth and goodness.

"Garden of Sovereigns," while reminding us of this fundamental principle, insistently states that true power lies in the center of the chest, that is, the heart. The heart must be resolute, adopting truth and goodness as its principle in service to humanity. For the heart is like a ship that saves the realm from the sea of annihilation, and it has no equal.
