INTRODUCTION
In this issue, we address a crime deeper, quieter, and more insidious than “genocide”: faith-cide. There is no difference between the bodies destroyed in Gaza and the spirits killed in East Turkistan; when a Muslim’s faith or body is violated, the same pain spreads, no matter where in the world it occurs. The systematic policy of extermination carried out in East Turkistan differs from the oppressions history is accustomed to, as it is a liquidation whose target is not the body, but the faith. “Patience exercises” are substituted for prayer, “discipline training” for fasting, and the “cult of leadership” for the Word of Allah; mosques are turned into museums, and children are torn from their families and crammed into ideological barracks. An attempt is being made to take the soul captive through a slow but systematic program.
In this issue, we go beyond merely voicing this echo and remind of the responsibility: if faith is not defended, the existence of the body will also lose its meaning. The resistance in Gaza, the patience in East Turkistan, and the struggle for belief across the world unite around the same truth; faith is not a surrender, but a resistance. This reality stands before us not as a heartache to be felt in our consciences, but as a duty to be organized. Through our articles, documents, and testimonies, we aim to make that oppression visible, to mobilize the conscience of society, and to refresh the consciousness of defending the sphere of faith; for while oppression may change its form, the requirement of the truth remains the same: faith must be protected.
