"Asafnâme" was written by the Ottoman statesman Lütfi Pasha. Lütfi Pasha served the Ottoman sultans Selim I and Suleiman the Magnificent and was also known as a successful army commander. He wrote the work after his retirement. In his work, this visionary statesman suggests practical solutions rather than providing theoretical advice. While evaluating all the problems of society, he draws lessons from the past and offers examples.
