“O lover! Come, strive to become a beloved of the Truth. For this world has no true essence. Yet, it is a great Divine blessing for attaining perfection. Do not waste your time in vain. For compared to the afterlife, the world is but a single breath. If even that escapes your grasp through heedlessness, you will depart from this world to the next empty-handed.”

“Be possessed of adab (proper conduct), so that the Almighty does not have to discipline you! For He does not love the liar, the arrogant, or the boastful. He loves the sincere, the humble, and the well-mannered; He bestows His love upon them, and grants His abundant blessings and Divine Perfections to such individuals. The manifestation of His Essence is for His elect and sincere beloveds. Beware, do not be prideful of your wealth, your health, your status, or your perfection, lest your pride ruins you one day!”
