The manuscript titled The Sayings of the Maghreb Scholars has a Sufi content and consists of sayings, the majority of which belong to Maghreb scholars, and commentaries on these sayings.
This treatise addresses the origin and definition of the word Sufism and the fundamental concepts of Sufism. The faults of the ego and remedies for liberation from these faults are also discussed. Furthermore, terms pertaining to the science of Sufism are explained in detail with hadiths and the sayings of Sufis.
The work also includes the claims of those who hold opposing views and presents the answers given by scholars to these claims. Thus, each subject is examined by taking into account the thesis and antithesis.
