Ihya Uloom ed-Din, the greatest work of Imam al-Ghazali, has been the primary reference for Muslims throughout every era and has been held in high regard. We now present this monumental guidebook, which has been constantly consulted by Muslims and held in a place of honor on their bookshelves for centuries, in a brand-new format. Each of the topics within the work has been translated using a fluent and clear language, without ever compromising the original narrative, and transformed into a standalone book. Ihya Uloom ed-Din consists of four main sections, each containing ten topics. The first topic of the third section, Customs, is about the "etiquette of travel." Imam al-Ghazali states: "Know that! Travel is a form of movement and social interaction... It has both benefits and harms. The factors that drive one to travel inevitably involve either a desire to escape or a desire to obtain something... A person must know the conditions they should not neglect during this journey, which will distinguish them from those who follow Satan. They must learn the conditions that will enable them to gain rewards beneficial for the afterlife if followed. By the permission of Allah, we will mention these conditions and behaviors in two parts."
