Conference
The work in which the Master, one of the founding authors of Turkish Theater with his plays, explains the question of "What is theater?" within a historical perspective from its inception to the present day, was first delivered as a conference at the Aydınlar Ocağı hall in 1964.
“Art, in the various forms of the word—which is also the primary capital of theater—such as story, novel, poetry, and so on, is always one- or two-dimensional; it does not reach three. And imagination, which is the name of the magnificent stage created by God, cannot find itself embodied there with the rigidity of reality. Theater is the place where art gains its third dimension. The event that abolishes time and space within the total rigidity of reality; watching the future, watching the past... And the unity of time and space in the place we are watching is separate from us and itself.” NFK
