In the name of Allah and with His peace... In our 10th issue, we are with you with our dossier topic "Reformation." Reformist currents, one of the important fronts of our path and struggle, emerged from everywhere once the Republican era provided an environment similar to how germs sprout when they find the conditions suitable for their reproduction; thus, these "dodging, deviant" currents surged forth. In fact, these perverted currents, whose footsteps were heard in the final period of the Ottoman Empire, became distinct in the bestial environment of the Republican era and openly declared war on Islamic disciplines, primarily the schools of thought (madhhabs), Sufism, and other branches (Ahl al-Sunnah). They were quick to seduce individuals unaware of these topics and issues. While there were nuanced differences among them, they were unanimous in targeting Ahl al-Sunnah. Yet, a state and society model cannot be spoken of without the understanding and method-centric perspective of Ahl al-Sunnah. The most important aspect is that they caused, and continue to cause, an environment of complete theological and practical confusion and turmoil. Making some Faculties of Theology their base, these circles spent all their efforts fighting against Ahl al-Sunnah and trying to distort and destroy it. Yet, infidelity had its claws buried in our throats. This state of theirs also shows that they find Ahl al-Sunnah more dangerous than the people of infidelity. Strengthening themselves with the power and reference they received from the secular legal system they leaned on, they branched out and spread. They attributed our backwardness in the face of the West to our failure to seat the intellect on the throne of sovereignty. With the accursed intention of passing all judgments through the filter of reason, they began a great distortion. Although the belated reactions of the community loyal to Ahl al-Sunnah have occasionally repelled them, the number of deceived Muslims they have gathered around them cannot be underestimated. Some consider the Prophet (pbuh) as a mere courier, others deny and disregard hadiths by saying "the Quran is sufficient for us," and others oppose the madhhabs and Sufism. In short, they are wiping out a great history kneaded by civilization. The understanding of religion presented with the sleight of hand of these victims of reason and logic is nothing but a mechanical construct. A poor eagle with its feathers plucked, its claws pulled out, and many of its organs severed. A new and fabricated understanding of religion... The days when the roots of this incorrigible and unreasonable group will be dried up cannot be too far off!
