The nation established the Sublime State in the encampment of Muhammed Ertuğrul Gazi to protect its sacred values, home, city, and homeland. The goal of every mujahid was to exalt the name of Allah. As the Sublime State grew stronger by adhering to the fundamental principles of Islam, Islam spread to new lands, and a process of recovery began in the fragmented structure of the Ummah. Muslims, once incapable of protecting Jerusalem, rose to their feet with the Sublime State; the cries of takbir uttered in Yemen were heard in Vienna. The akinjis advanced from one victory to the next. In the Sublime State, the sultan consulted religious scholars not to manage religion according to the state, but to manage the state according to religion. When the state appointed a person to an office, it looked not at their race or color, but at their competence and merit. Jihad was not waged to gain territory for the Sublime State, but to hold the oppressors accountable for the sake of the oppressed or to pave the way for the saints and dervishes. The Sublime State enriched the regions it governed both materially and spiritually. This book, which focuses on the beliefs, knowledge, political stances, social conditions, hopes for the future, and longing for the Sublime Caliphate of Muslims—who set out from Samarkand where the roots of the Sublime State were born, flourished in Anatolia, and reached Rumelia with the spirit of the akinjis—was written by speaking with those who live and those who have passed away in the geography where the idea of the Sublime State was shaped, implemented, fought for its restoration, and where the pain of its absence is felt. The final chapter of the work, which aims to contribute to the revival of the idea of the Sublime State within the Islamic nation, focuses on "Arakan" as an example of the plight of an Ummah without a Caliph.
