The Most Noble Messenger(peace and blessings be upon him)would pray during the three holy months: “O Allah! Make the months of Rajab and Sha’ban blessed for us, and let us reach Ramadan,” (Ahmad ibn Hanbal, Musnad) thereby expressing his joy in reaching these three months and his longing for Ramadan, the month of mercy, and he wished for every believer to keep this longing alive in their heart by reciting this prayer.
Furthermore, our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
exalted the value of the month of Sha’ban by saying, “Sha’ban is my month, and Sha’ban cleanses sins.” (Kashf al-Khafa 2/9)
May Allah Almighty grant us the ability to show respect for the noble month of Sha’ban, which our Prophet honored and revered by calling it “my month,” and to earn His pleasure by performing the deeds He loves in a manner worthy of it.
Amen...
