RIYAD AL-SALIHIN 3 VOLUMES

This precious work belongs to the great scholar and gnostic Imam al-Nawawi [may Allah have mercy on him]. This valuable book, Riyad al-Salihin, in which he collected approximately 1900 hadiths under eighteen main headings for the purpose of teaching Islamic morality and etiquette, has always received great attention in every time and place. It has been at the forefront of the hadith books that hold a primary place in the religious culture of our nation. Distinguished by its rich content and excellent arrangement, this valuable work has also maintained its relevance in other Islamic countries. In addition to being read in the curricula of religious educational institutions at various levels in many Islamic countries, it has had a wide range of use as an indispensable handbook, especially for preaching and guidance activities. It has been a primary source referred to by those serving in religious capacities, such as muftis, preachers, imams, and khatibs.

Translated with great meticulousness based on the principle of facilitating the benefit of our people at all levels, this valuable work was read and checked from beginning to end by many competent individuals. In this way, the opportunity was seized to minimize errors that are impossible to avoid. Subject headings were written as briefly and concisely as possible. The verses at the beginning of the topics were translated, and the surah and verse numbers in the Quran were specified. The source checking (takhrij) of the hadiths was performed. In particular, the sources cited by Imam al-Nawawi were provided. The meanings of the hadiths were conveyed literally, but ambiguous hadiths were interpreted. Hadiths that are difficult to understand or may be misunderstood were explained in footnotes. During the explanations, many sources were consulted, primarily the commentaries of the Kutub al-Sittah. In this regard, today's conditions and needs were also taken into account, and attempts were made to capture the meanings contained in the hadiths from this perspective. In this respect, this precious, ancient, and deeply rooted book has been presented for the benefit of you, our valued readers, with the distinction of Semerkand Publications after a long and meticulous preparation period.
