One reason for the great victories in the history of the Ottoman Empire is the courageous genius of its commanders. The bravery displayed by Ottoman sultans on the battlefield has been the key to victory. So much so that, in most battles, Ottoman forces emerged victorious against numerically superior enemies. The meaningful victories led by Fatih Sultan Mehmet, who commanded Ottoman heroes fighting at sea, have taken their place in the golden pages of history. The courage and faith of Yavuz Sultan Selim Khan, along with the determination he showed against cowardly soldiers, are among the heroic examples that make the Ottoman victories unique.
