Dear Reader,
After three months of intensive work, our 6th issue is now live. Since the beginning of our publication, we have taken care to ensure that the themes we select as our feature topics are generally those that are influential in our era and touch upon social life in some aspect. In this issue, the cover theme we have chosen, ‘kaht-ı ricâl,’ or ‘a dearth of men,’ has frequently manifested itself in the Islamic world in general, and in our own geography in particular, for many years, and a great deal of thought has been put into its resolution. In this issue, we conducted an analysis based on ideas and texts put forward by various figures in previous periods and prepared a dossier containing articles that look at this issue from different perspectives to find a solution.
As for the content of the magazine;
Emirhan Kartal, in his article “An Immoral Agent Produces Oppression,” opens a discussion on the integrity of an individual assuming the leadership of a community without having completed their own moral development.
Ahmed Faruk Tokat addresses the ‘dearth of men’ dossier under the title “A Room Full of Men,” comparing quality and quantity.
Furthermore, we conducted an interview with Muhammed Yazıcı, President of the Ilmiye Foundation and a researcher-writer, regarding our cover theme. We hope you find it beneficial.

In addition, we prepared an interview with Taha Kılınç, journalist-writer and editor-in-chief of Derin Tarih Magazine, on the problem of the ‘dearth of men’ in the Islamic world from the past to the present. We hope you enjoy reading it.
Salim Koca contributes an architectural analysis to our dossier in his article titled “Hagia Sophia: A Structure That Received Its Share of the ‘Dearth of Men.’”
Ahmet Fatih Türkel, in his article “The West and Modern Science,” examines the scientific research and studies that have been on the rise in the West over the last century, along with their precursors and consequences.
Finally, we hope that the 14th Magazine Days, which will be held between October 12-15 and which we will also be attending, will be productive, and we present this issue, which we believe will both contribute to this subject and be beneficial for you. Happy reading!
