With the arrival of ghazi warriors and alperens (dervish-warriors) in Anatolia starting from the 11th century, the civilization of the heart continued until the establishment of the Ottoman Empire and the conquest of Istanbul. During this process, the Sufi orders operating in every corner of Anatolia played a major role in shaping the spiritual landscape of the new lands. Sufi orders such as the Mevleviye, Bektashiye, and Bayramiye are notable examples. The Eshrefiye, a branch of the Kadiriye order founded by Abdulkadir Geylani in Iraq in the 12th century, played a significant role in this process. The work titled "Müzekki’n-Nüfûs," authored by Eshrefoglu Rumi, is one of the first examples written in Turkish in Anatolia. This work reflects the views of Eshrefoglu Rumi, who adopted the principle of renouncing everything worldly within the framework of strict self-control and Sufi discipline. In addition to being the founder of a Sufi order, Eshrefoglu Rumi is also recognized as a great moralist and spiritual guide.
