The modern-day Muslim has, first and foremost, largely severed their ties with their past. Over time, this rupture has resulted in a failure to know how to view things and the purpose behind the duties they perform. Passed down from father to son, this situation manifests itself as a religious life that has become a matter of custom and tradition. However, this religion is one that began with the first command to “read” and invites Muslims to be conscious. For what will truly allow a Muslim to fully embrace the cause to which they belong is “consciousness.”

Acquiring this consciousness depends on living Islam with awareness and feeling the spirituality that deeds should instill in the heart. The work you hold aims to shine the light of the Qur’an and Sunnah upon the modern-day Muslim, who has fallen into a serious void regarding how to view things, and to convey the blessed path of the Pious Predecessors (Selef-i Sâlîhîn) in an age where modernity surrounds them on all sides.
