This work is an effort aimed at finding our own voice as a nation and building our own values and language. It is a personal contribution to the process of forming our own understanding of governance and our own values. It is an endeavor to remember our roots, discover our own richness, and make this richness active, productive, and dynamic.

Although the work focuses on political treatises (siyasetnames), it is not an analysis of them. It is a look at governance practices with a fresh approach rooted in a deep accumulation of knowledge. It is the integration of the living knowledge within these treatises—knowledge that sheds light on today and tomorrow, maintains its function, and transcends its own era—with the contemporary management framework. With this characteristic, the study possesses a unique and pioneering quality in its field.

In this study, information selected from political treatises has been organized according to modern management thought, concepts, and practices. Subsequently, original evaluations and analyses regarding the integrated knowledge, principles, and methods have been provided.

These lands, which have built civilizations, still have much more to say to the world. If Anatolian wisdom is to bear fruit again in these lands, it can only be through our historical roots. This work is a sprout extending from our roots toward the future, a single drop in the river of truth and wisdom.
