Introduction
Servitude has been cast aside; comfort has taken its place. Sin has been forgotten; diagnoses have multiplied. In the place where man forgot God, he set out to "know" himself in the accounting, and every diagnosis was, in fact, a forgetting. Would he who knows his own self not know his Lord? The temples of modern times are silent now, yet in every corner there is the voice of a guide: "Just be yourself."
Yet, one's primordial nature (fitra) is not to "be yourself," but to transcend being oneself. It is not to bow to one’s ego, but to bow over it. Prostration (sajdah) is man's nobility in the face of things and events; therapy, however, is the sacrifice of this nobility to devices, tests, and directives. Today, the heart and brain are mapped to the finest detail, yet the sense of direction is lost.
Psychology is more than a science today: it is an attitude, a construction, a religion... If "disorder" has replaced sin, "technique" has replaced worship, and "awareness" has replaced repentance, then the issue here is no longer illness, but the redefinition of man. While modern soul engineering dismantles and reassembles the heart like a device, it steals from man not his caliphate, but his very reasons for existence.
The modern age did not know man; it wanted to design him. It abandoned the question "Who am I?" and shifted to the imposition of "How should I be?" Psychology is no longer a diagnostic tool or a language of guidance... It is a project of soul engineering that seeks to reconstruct man. A new order of norms that files down his attitudes, codes his emotions, and restricts his ego to reasonable limits... The soul is no longer a measure, but an object being measured...
This soul engineering causes man to grow toward his ego while shrinking him from his truth. It opens him up by calling him "broken"; it closes him up by saying "we have fixed him." The heart becomes a file, life becomes a graph, and pain becomes data. Yet the soul is not a device. It is disciplined not for measurement, but for servitude. This new religion exists to strip man of his role as the caliph of truth and turn him into a slave to comfort. And against this engineering, we defend the remembrance of primordial nature.
