This work contains the forewords written by Ahmed Davudoğlu Hocaefendi—a steadfast carrier and defender of the Sunni faith, whom Master Necib Fazıl introduced as “one of the rare scholars of our day, to whose true piety and reverence I bear witness”—for his own works, as well as the introductions and endorsements he provided for the works of others. It is unfortunately unknown to many today that the late Ahmed Davudoğlu Hocaefendi was one of the most competent scholars produced by these lands in recent times, that he carried out the most serious defensive and offensive maneuvers against the movements of distortion that permeated his era, and that he lived his life as a believer who never changed this stance—which deprived him of worldly opportunities—until his passing. This work has come into existence with the intention of contributing to the recognition and remembrance of Ahmed Davudoğlu, a precious scholarly figure of our country's recent past, on whom—regrettably—very little research has been conducted.
