Suheyb ar-Rumi (may Allah be pleased with him) is among the noble Companions whom the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) left for us as leaders and guides, having stated about them, "My Companions are like stars; whichever of them you follow, you will be guided." (Bayhaqi). He specifically praised Suheyb ar-Rumi (may Allah be pleased with him) as well, saying, "Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him love Suheyb as a mother loves her child." Suheyb (may Allah be pleased with him) is a great Companion, among the most distinguished of the Messenger of Allah’s (peace and blessings be upon him) followers. He was honored with the Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him) praise, "What an excellent servant Suheyb is!" and his high status was further exalted in another Hadith, which states: "There are four who are at the forefront of Islam: I am the leader of the Arabs, Suheyb is the leader of the Romans, Salman is the leader of the Persians, and Bilal is the leader of the Abyssinians." This booklet has been prepared with the intention of being a means to fostering love for Suheyb (may Allah be pleased with him).
