Understanding? The reflection of light in a mirror... Renewing the mirror...

The sun cannot be renewed. The eye is renewed.

Islam is the name of the eternal new that has no beginning and no end... Renewal is to penetrate it a little more at every moment...

It is the infinite wisdom in the hadith "He who spends two consecutive days the same is deceived" that has brought the secret of the new and renewal.

In this sense, the cause lies in molding the new generation of Islam...

Islam’s most novel, immutable, and exemplary generation is the Companions, molded by the hand of the Messenger...

Although the "Successors" (Tabi'un) extended this generational line after the Companions, the cause suffered a weakness on the social level after them, and it was impossible to go beyond the sorrowful groups surrounded by great individual manifestations. In this manifestation, the divine wisdom is evident as the result of losing love—the most difficult thing to preserve—and remaining on the purely external plane with crude reason...

The banner of the Islamic state, which passed into the hands of the Turks following the Umayyad and Abbasid periods, served as a cradle for such a generation for only 250 years of its 600-plus years of true state life; after that, it entered a 300-year era of dreadful lack of love and superior understanding, and for the last 100-plus years, it has found all its effort in opposing Islam, in the inverted form of the same crude fanatic and coarse bigot mentality.

Since that day, those presented to generations as heroes have been the intellectual and practical executors of a loathing for Islam.

As the roots of the generations capable of embracing Islam with all its purity and originality—without sacrificing a shred of its essence—and renewing it within their own selves began to be scorched, conciliatory temperaments, unable to completely rid themselves of the need for religion, turned the matter into reformism everywhere; and instead of an Islam as it is, they sought to open the door to an Islam as they wished it to be fashioned.

The reformer is more dangerous than those who are frontally opposed to Islam, in terms of hitching Islam to the locomotive of this or that view or sect, attempting to attach it not to its own essence and origin, but to their own personal self and perception, and thus attempting to prop up a building they deem rotten according to their own judgment; and the generation that will protect Islam through the renewal of the heart and eye will recognize three enemies within the social circle: the loveless crude fanatic, the emotionless infidel, and the unblessed reformer... That is, the one who encrusts the spirit in his blind self, the one who denies it entirely, and the one who attempts to mediate between the two...

Islam was corrupted in Turkey, which held its sword for 500 years, and was overturned everywhere. This is a divine warning that it can only regain its health everywhere if it is set right in Turkey...

The generation that will renew Islam is charged with emerging as the final and concrete, total and holistic reaction in this Turkey of spiritual and material disasters...

Only after such decline can an era of perfection be opened.
