Edirne Mufti Mehmed Fevzi Efendi (1826-1900) created a concise work in his Ottoman Turkish treatise titled Temessükü’l-Ezyâl min Sâdâti’r-Ricâl, in which he concisely covered the lives and hagiographies of Shah Muhammad Bahauddin Naqshband (qs), Abdul Qadir Gilani (qs), Sayyid Ahmad ar-Rifai (qs), Mevlana Jalal ad-Din Rumi (qs), and Abu al-Hasan ash-Shadhili (qs). In this study, we have prepared the aforementioned treatise in modern Turkish along with its facsimile, presenting it for the benefit of our readers.
The second treatise included in our study is about "karāmah" (miracles), which has been the subject of much debate. The discussions surrounding this topic have led many scholars to address it in their books, and independent treatises have also been written on the subject. Mehmed Fevzi Efendi is one such scholar.
In his Ottoman Turkish treatise Nihâyetü’l-İktidâr li’l-Evliyâi’l-Kibâr, which he wrote upon request, he penned a concise work containing valuable information by examining the limits and types of miracles. Similarly, in this study, we have prepared the aforementioned treatise in modern Turkish along with its facsimile, presenting it for the benefit of the scholarly world.
