Its subtitle is “The Novel of Money”... First of all, we should state that “para” means “piece” and “kutâ’” means “to interpret a dream”... One aspect of life is economic, and money is one of its elements... It is understood that “Parakutâ’” is a coined word, a name befitting the content of the work; and let us note that the word “iflâk” in the dictionary means “to be eloquent while reciting poetry” and “to coin a word,” and this very quality of invention also takes its place – as you will see – during the occasions and associations of the writing of the work... The novel of money!..

•

The novel of money... Instead of explaining money with the stereotypical information peculiar to its own science and which has become general knowledge, this work is an attempt at thought and art whose root is in science and whose yield returns – seeks to return – to it; while pointing once again to the issue of “perspective on life and lifestyle” through the medium of “money,” as a kind of force and causal quality that “exists outside the object it affects,” it turns and looks at the issue of money with the same issue... An intertwined work... And in this vein, in addition to touching upon subjects related to the topic, it also gives place to the colors that these suggest!..

•

The scheme of ranking countries within a kind of political and economic caste system and keeping them in line through legitimate(!) means, starting with America’s boss-like role under the name “New World Order,” is well known... It is also well known that 80 percent of the world's resources are consumed by countries constituting 20 percent of the world's population, in a proportion that more or less fits Turkey as well... It is also well known that countries constituting 80 percent dream of being like the 20 percent, and the strange part of the matter is that when everyone tries to be like them, those who cannot be like them themselves nurture this dream... It is also well known that apelike imitation completely alienates a person from the truth of the thing being imitated... Within the framework of all these knowns, the state of those who take the Western world as an example in matters such as culture, political structure, economic structure, etc., is summarized in this example: A man holding a bundle of hay tied to a rope at the end of a stick in front of a horse he is riding to encourage it to go in his desired direction, making the horse run in the dream that it will reach it any moment, as if it were the horse's own desire... The desire of a Muslim cannot be like said horse... This means that “Parakutâ’”, within its subject matter, aims to make felt certain lines belonging to the cause of “the understanding addressed to Islam”!..

•

Regarding the explanation of money with the stereotypical information peculiar to its own science and which has become general knowledge, I benefited from two works: The first is Professor Feridun Ergin’s work titled “Monetary Policy,” and the other is Professor Sadun Aren’s work titled “Employment, Money and Economic Policy”... Let those related to the subject of economics look at the information they are familiar with from the perspective we explained above, and let those outside this group get a whiff of the atmosphere of the subject through this work... As I said, this work is an attempt at thought and art whose root is in science and whose yield returns – seeks to return – to it!..
