“Mektûbât-ı Rabbânî,” a divinely sanctified work and one of the primary sources of Sufism, which is the most comprehensive and famous collection of letters compiled from those sent by Imām-ı Rabbânî (d. 1034/1624) to his friends, originally written in Persian and translated into Arabic by Muhammad Murad Minzelevi of Kazan (1855-1934), has been re-typeset along with the annotations from the original manuscript and presented for the benefit of readers.
The method followed in the preparation of the book:
1. Difficult parts of the text, verses, hadiths, and poems have been fully vocalized with diacritics.
2. The sources and references for the verses and noble hadiths have been provided.
3. Some marginal notes from the original manuscript have been added as footnotes.
4. Verses occurring in the text have been enclosed in floral brackets ﴾ ﴿.
5. Hadiths occurring in the text have been enclosed in quotation marks « ».
6. Paragraphing and punctuation have been applied to the text to provide ease for the reader.
7. Regarding page numbering, the original page numbers of the old printed edition, which is used for collation and is famous in madrasas, have been maintained.
8. Names in the text that are not of Arabic origin have been examined and their correct spellings established by scholars belonging to those respective languages.
9. Book titles occurring in the text have been enclosed in quotation marks « ».
