This is not a story that has been lived and finished. It is a story that continues to unfold under the shadow of a process they call February 28th, a process whose impact persists even in the time we live in now, as we can understand simply from the fact that unlawful judicial decisions are still in effect. After I sat down at the keyboard to tell this story—which I entered at the age of fourteen and which consumed nine long years of my life—I proceeded for days, metaphorically speaking, without looking back. I kept it quite superficial and tried to keep it as short as I could; because my aim is not to write an autobiography. I can say that while writing, I relived what had happened to me: I felt overwhelmed, scared, withdrawn, angry… Amidst these conflicting psychological states, I tried to describe whatever came to mind by returning to those moments once again.
