FOREWORD
Throughout history, man has developed tools to make his life easier. Today, for the first time, we are in an era where the tools we have developed are shaping us. The issue is no longer how smart machines have become, but how artificial human beings have become.
The dossier subject of this issue, "The End of Technological Slavery: Homunculus Man," addresses how, in the process ranging from artificial intelligence to digital addiction and from algorithms to biotechnology, man has begun to surrender his will, attention, and judgment to external systems. Technology, which entered our lives with the promise of comfort and speed, is reshaping our way of thinking and our relationship with truth without us even noticing.
The problem is not technology; it is that man has ceased to be the sovereign subject over technology and has transformed into an object directed by it. The real danger is not the strengthening of the machine, but man's beginning to reconstruct his own essence according to the logic of the machine.
The greatest struggle of the coming period will be the struggle for man to remain human. This dossier does not invite us to reject technology, but to rethink the intellectual and moral foundation that will keep it at the service of humanity.
