All forms of human activity ultimately rest upon spiritual endeavor; what this signifies and upon what it is based are separate matters, yet faith, like the provisions that appear specific to the subject within its continuous and general process, lies at the center of this process. Believing exists to believe in Allah; and at the terminus of everything toward which the human soul flows, there is He, whose existence stands in need of no other being... As my Master stated: "I recognize no single event or act, material or spiritual, in the universe that is not connected to the vast telegraph network that gives news of Allah. All directions belong to Allah; no matter where you turn, you will find Him! Two words: Oneness and Sovereignty... Oneness: The manifestation of Allah’s unity in everything... Sovereignty: The absolute agency of Allah. In its own rank, everything has a spirit, a life, a truth appropriate to that rank. The inner face of a thing... Within this framework, the name and the content of the work appear with a breadth that also encompasses our opposites.
