He gathered in this work the hadiths he selected—mostly from the six books accepted as the primary hadith sources, and the vast majority from Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim—and named his work Riyad as-Salihin, which means \"Gardens of the Righteous.\" This work, which aims to lead people to moral maturity, has received great attention throughout the Islamic world.
