In every phase of this work, we have benefited from reputable tafsir (exegesis) books. We have taken great care not to express any point that we could not find in these sources, even if within parentheses. Regarding matters of creed, we paid attention to presenting the views of Ahl al-Sunnah and, when prioritizing among these opinions, we preferred the one we found more transcendent in the same context. Brief explanations of certain verses that are difficult to understand or prone to misinterpretation were excerpted from the original copies of the tafsir books and included in the footnotes, with the source of each being indicated. The meanings of various terms were summarized by benefiting from both tafsir works and scholarly texts. Likewise, short explanations of abrogation (nāsikh and mansūkh) verses and certain verses related to jurisprudence (fiqh) and social transactions (mu‘āmalāt) were quoted from sources as needed. While defining words, we sought to convey the meanings they carry within the text rather than their abstract meanings.

This work, which lasted nearly ten years under the supervision of the Scientific Research Center within our publishing house, was conducted by a committee of ten people who are graduates of various Theology Faculties and traditional Eastern madrasas in the country, as well as religious education universities and madrasas abroad, such as Al-Azhar University.

Based on the principle of consultation, this final text, prepared as a committee, was edited over a period of nearly one year through the rigorous review and participation of a large, diverse group of both men and women from various professions and fields of expertise, including theology, literature, history, psychology, pedagogy, education, engineering, technical education, medicine, economics, law, political science, and fine arts, by benefiting from their insights.
