History and space are two concepts that cannot be thought of separately. Remembering time is like commemorating space; both complement each other. The relationship between history and space is reciprocal, like the two sides of a piece of paper or the two poles of a magnet. When you describe one, the other automatically comes to the fore. In this context, history shapes geography, and geography shapes history.
