Muslims should view their daughters as the teachers of tomorrow who will raise the Yavuzes, Ebussuuds, Bakis, Sinans, and Barbarossas that will usher in the Islamic age. Let us call women mothers, children, aunts, and sisters once again. Let us launch a war of honor, following in the footsteps of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), against those who buried girls alive in graves out of shame during the era of ignorance, and who bury them in arenas of lust today out of greed for money. Let us say that the existence of humanity depends on woman being able to exist as a woman. Let girls grow up alongside their brothers, sit at the same table, and—with the exception of inheritance—wear the same quality shoes. Let us not sacrifice the rights of one for the other.
