This critically edited work you have in hand is the book titled Tenbîhu'l-Vulât ve'l-Hukkâm 'alâ Ahkâmi Şâtimi Hayri'l-Enâm, authored by the great scholar Ibn Âbidîn. This treatise has not been published independently, but rather together with several other treatises by Ibn Âbidîn. It is small in volume, yet it contains great benefits. In this treatise, Ibn Âbidîn has conveyed the views of Hanafi scholars regarding those who disparage the Prophet and the Companions, producing a very beautiful and beneficial work. The work, which consists of two sections, examines the ruling on insulting the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in the first section, and the ruling on those who insult the Companions in the second section, in light of the views of the great Hanafi scholars.
