In this second edition of our work, we provide a detailed introduction to Ahmed-i Sârbân, a Bayrâmî-Melâmî Sheikh from Hayrabolu. By noting that he passed away in Hayrabolu and was buried in his dervish lodge, we have compared the handwritten divan manuscripts registered in his name. Furthermore, we have transcribed into Latin script the two letters he sent to his student and caliph, Hüsâmeddîn Efendi of Ankara.
In our study, we have compared the manuscripts used for translation, particularly because of the possibility of confusing Ahmed-i Sârbân with Dukakinzâde Ahmed Beg from the Dukakinzâde dynasty, and we have also examined his poetry. Additionally, we explored Vizeli Kaygusuz Alâ’eddîn Alî Efendi, one of Ahmed-i Sârbân's students, and the Bayrâmî-Melâmî lineage. As a result of these investigations, we provided information regarding the sects and temperaments of the Bayrâmî-Melâmî, Bayrâmî-Hamzevî, and Bayrâmî-Halvetî sheikhs.
Finally, at the end of the work, we have added microfilms of one of the handwritten divan manuscripts used as the basis for translation, all of his letters, and several pages from a few of the approximately 60 handwritten poetry anthologies and some divan manuscripts consulted.
