Bozoklu Osman Şakir's work titled "Sefaretnâme," in which he depicts his journey from Istanbul to Tehran, is one of the final examples of the Ottoman classical painting tradition. This work draws attention by bringing together new techniques alongside classical Turkish miniature painting. The work, which begins with Yakup Öztürk's analysis, presents Bozoklu's text alongside its translation and facsimile.
