Ahlâk-ı Alâi is an important work by Kınalızâde Ali Efendi on the science of ethics. It serves as a continuation in the Ottoman scholarly world of Ibn Miskawayh's Tehzîbü’l-Ahlâk, Nasîrüddin Tûsî's Ahlâk-ı Nâsırî, and Celâleddin Devvânî's Ahlâk-ı Celâlî. Bergüzâr-ı Ahlâk, on the other hand, is an abridgment of Ahlâk-ı Alâi. Both works contain significant information on ethics and were taught as textbooks in Ottoman madrasas.
