With greetings...
Two years after the Six-Day War, on August 21, 1969, a large part of the Al-Aqsa Mosque was attacked by a Jew named Denis Ruhan. The Israeli Prime Minister of the time, Golda Meir, said the following immediately after the event: “I could not sleep for fear that night. I thought that the Muslims would enter Israel from all four sides. But the feared did not happen. Then I realized: We can do whatever we want, for the Muslim ummah is a sleeping ummah.”
Since that day, terrorist Jews have been carrying out massacres and genocide in Palestine periodically, and for the last 6 months in Gaza. Against this massacre by the Jews, no serious voice or action has been raised from the Islamic world, except for feeble voices. Neither Egypt nor Jordan pressed against the gates, nor did Turkey truly do what was necessary. Just like in 1969... Let alone stopping the fire in Gaza, the Arab regimes, primarily Turkey, continued to carry wood to the fire lit by Israel. By showing that they stand with Israel through support of gas, oil, steel, or fruits and vegetables, they degraded themselves in the race to be lower than animals.
In the face of the massacre in Gaza, even the sealed hearts of those we call infidels have begun to beat; yet, the more than 2 billion Muslims have not budged. Even the honorable act of the U.S. soldier Aaron Bushnell, who showed what it means to be human by sacrificing himself, was not enough to mobilize the Islamic world. In fact, those who worship state and politicians and dislike heroes turned up their noses at this as well.
Thinker Salih Mirzabeyoğlu gave a conference titled “Palestine and the Problem of Torture” in 1988 and said, “What is happening in Palestine and elsewhere is happening because we have failed to become men.” Nothing has changed since 1988!
It is understood that the only view seen in the mirror of Gaza held up to our faces is that Muslims have lost their dignity and honor. We evaluated this incident on our cover and used the headline, “The Real Culprits of What is Happening in Gaza are Not the Jews and Christians, But the Muslims!” Our cover topic was addressed by Ömer Emre Akcebe with his article titled “The Tweet-Sized Ummah of the Armed Prophet.”
