Abū Muḥammad Rukn al-Dīn ʿUbayd Allāh b. Muḥammad b. ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz al-Samarqandī, one of the prominent representatives of the later period (muta'ahhirun), was a scholar who produced works in the fields of theology (aqa'id), kalam, jurisprudence (fiqh), Sufism, and tafsir. One of his significant works in the field of theology, titled "Akîdetü’r Rükniyye fî Şerhi Lâ İlâhe İllallah Muhammedün Resûlullah," is an important textbook that serves as a bridge between theology and kalam.
