While the Prophet was in the house of Umm Salama, the verse meaning, “O People of the House! Allah only wishes to remove all impurity from you and make you pure and spotless” (al-Ahzab 33/33) was revealed, whereupon the Prophet took Ali, Fatima, Hasan, and Husayn under his cloak and prayed, “O Allah, these are my People of the House; remove their impurities and make them pure and spotless!” Based on this narration, the terms Al-i Aba (Family of the Cloak) and Ehl-i Aba have become famous in literature to refer to the Ahl al-Bayt. In our study, we have conveyed the conflict resolution and peace-building journeys of this Al-i Aba, for whom green has become a symbol, in the eastern provinces.
