One night, the wife of Sulaiman al-Jazuli gets up from her bed and disappears. When she returns after a while, the following conversation takes place between Sulaiman al-Jazuli and his wife: "Where are you going, getting up like this in the middle of the night?" "I am going to Medina al-Munawwara to visit the Messenger of Allah." "Well then, how did you attain the spiritual rank required for such a blessed journey? Will you teach me such a sacred salawat?" "No, I am not permitted to teach it. However, you should gather all the salawat, and if that particular one is among them, then you will have recited it as well."

Upon this, Sulaiman al-Jazuli, as a result of great effort, collects all the salawat recited among Muslims and compiles them into a book. When he reads the book to his wife, she smiles and says: "It is in several places in your book."

That book is the one known as Dala'il al-Khayrat.
