Necip Fazıl, who divides his life into two main parts as "Until I Met" and "After I Met" Abdülhakîm Arvasî, presented his autobiographical work "He and I," in which he also interprets the events that drew him toward his Master, in 1975 as follows: "This work is the story of my life with its most private colors, lines, and voices from my birth to the present, and it is the burning expression of the wisdom of existence manifesting in me, the meaning of which I began to understand only after meeting Him. In this respect, compared to the one and a half works I was able to possess until I saw him, I present the current one, among the works that now exceed 60 volumes and all of which I owe to that light, as one that deserves to be placed in the seat of honor and as an indication toward the most intimate inner and outer climates." The book was published in 1965 under the title "The Great Gate."
