one of the most vibrant corners of the Büyük Doğu (Great East) Magazine,
which illuminated the country from one end to the other, reaching the most remote places with the light of ideas
and revitalized the Muslim masses with a spirit of action, was the “Alone With You” column.
Necip Fazıl Kısakürek, the “Answerer” of the question-filled letters sent to this column,
stated in his first address to the readers that this column was opened to provide individual answers
to all their questions and to address whatever they might be curious about in the broad plan of life. Indeed, as one reads the answers given,
it becomes evident how wide a range the readers' desires and curiosity spanned.

The responses given to letters sent by thousands of people,
from literary enthusiasts awaiting judgment on their prose and poetry
to treasure hunters requesting prayers for finding buried riches,
shed light on the colorful world of the Magazine-Reader relationship.
Among many names waiting for answers to their initial works or expressing
their commitment to the cause and their heartfelt connection through these letters,
we also bear witness in the “Alone With You” column to a parade of many
familiar and important figures who would later achieve fame.
